CSI – Crop Science Investigators

Dr. Trevor Garnett and A/Prof Stuart Roy were guest speakers at the recent Crop Science Investigators mini technology field day, in Maitland, SA, run by AgCommunicators. CSI is a STEM investigation project aimed at secondary students.

This event brought together over 170 students and their teachers from five schools in the Yorke Peninsula region, to engage in and explore technology, innovation and opportunities in the grain sector.
The students had a great day rotating through seven workshops from exploring machinery innovation and agricultural engineering, drones, precision agriculture, virtual farming, technology in farming, plant breeding and genetics, soil health and monitoring weather for improved input applications.
