Researchers from Japan, New Zealand and around Australia gathered at the Waite Campus for the ‘Cereal Endophyte Workshop’ on Jan 29-30. The workshop’s aims were to highlight the successes and challenges in the field of endophyte research and foster a collaborative effort to investigate how the EpichloĆ« endophyte could potentially be used in wheat to deliver germplasm better suited to biotic and abiotic challenges. The meeting comprised presentations from all the participating organisations and a tour of the glasshouse in The Plant Accelerator where the Wheat Hub is growing inoculated plants.
